Part Time Teachers:
Mrs Margaret Matthews
Margaret is our regular supply teacher, splitting her time across both Class 1 and 2 to help cover our teacher’s planning time. She has a supportive and inspiring approach to teaching and can help to produce some lovely results from the children in both Key stages.
Mrs Morag Macleod
Morag works for one day a week in Class 1, mostly with reception children. Morag also covers playtime and lunchtime supervision every Thursday. She has a lovely caring and gentle nature, this compliments Mrs Wise’s style of teaching and she helps to give our Reception children a really happy start to their education.
Mrs Hazel Ions
Hazel works in Class 1 and provides support for the Class Teachers. She also covers playtime and lunchtime supervision when she takes on the difficult role of football umpire and does a great job! She also accompanies the children to the pool in Hexham for their weekly swimming lesson in the spring and summer terms. The children and staff all love Hazel, she has worked at the school for many years now and the place just wouldn’t be the same without her.
Jo started work at Greenhaugh in June 2013 as a Special Needs one to one Teaching Assistant.
Rob Caton started work at Greenhaugh in January 2016, to support a specific child on a one to one basis. Rob brings with him a wealth of experience in outdoor learning skills which is a fabulous benefit to us all.
Catering Unit Manager: Mrs Maria Turnbull
Maria has just joined us in September 2016, taking over from Pat Robson who had been with us since 1994. Maria will contine the Greenhaugh tradition of serving a healthy, balanced menu, making the food fun and interesting for the children. We welcome Maria to the team.
Keyboard Teacher: Mr Chris Reay
Mr Reay comes to us through Northumberland Music Service once a week. He teaches keyboards to Years 2, 3 and 4. The children work together in small groups and really enjoy learning to play their instrument.
Administrator: Mrs Christine Thoburn
Christine runs a tight ship. She not only ensures that administratively the school runs like clockwork, but is also the happy smiling face in the office who can answer pretty much any question put to her!
Caretaker: Ms Susan Liddle
Susan joined our staff in January 2013 and works hard to keep our school clean and tidy. She takes great pride in presenting our school in the best manner possible and is a great asset.
